The reason is that the chicory precisely because of his .... Bitterness? .... Bitterness? ... taken because of its bitter taste, is the only burning is accelerated, whereas rice not even a hint of bitterness can tolerate.

Maybe I should whittle chicory in the rice and call it risotto.
